I can't speak for you, I'm not your megaphone My voice speaks for me and mine's the only on Fill my ears with judgment, soak my shirt in shame Drowning in your expectations, who'll decide what's behind my name? Take what I have offered, take it or I walk away I'm tearing out my guts before you today The pressure I put myself under, and truth to set you free What do you want me to do? Who do you expect me to be? I tell myself I'm falling short, a forced arbitration Your perspective's all that matters - that's the conversation Out of bars and out of time, I've never felt so alone So I've broken all the mirrors, and the lights are on But I can't see where I've gone

Deeper than the skin, invisibly running Came to coexist with it - was I one of the fortunate? Like a tidal wave, devastating normal days Figured out the dosage, but then it felt like I lost a friend One day, will I remember anything at all? Will it even matter? I'll just stumble 'til I fall P-T-S-D-E-M-D-R A dark passenger in my car Roaring through my brain, a new chemistry Had to learn to sleep again - maintenance in milligrams Pain that comes and goes, a non-stop horror show You might suspect me well-rehersed, while I am bracing for the worst One day, will I remember anything at all? Will it even matter? I'll just stumble 'til I fall P-T-S-D-E-M-D-R A dark passenger in my car P-T-S-D-E-M-D-R A dead albatross in my arms

about

This is gearpop! "Dark Passenger" is my both love letter to Chicago and an embrace of my experience living with bipolar disorder. It was the very first track written in this song cycle. "Night Driver" was inspired by the old Atari game of the same name, and "What Do You Want Me To Do?" is "Passenger"'s spiritual cousin, flirting with funk and early 1980s synthesis.

And here's something new: a bonus track. Multiple people, believe it or not, asked for a longer version of "Night Driver" and so I obliged. This version, for now, will only be available on the Bandcamp edition of this EP.

When next we meet, it will be over the full Kaleidoscope. Mwah!
